1. The service

FrenchBriefs ("the service", at frenchbriefs.com) is operated by [LEGAL NAME], [ADDRESS], Switzerland. It shows news articles rewritten in simplified French to help people practise reading and listening. By creating an account, you accept these terms.

2. Your account

You sign in with a Google account. You're responsible for activity on your account. You must be at least [16] years old.

3. Free and Pro

The Free plan is free of charge and may change. FrenchBriefs Pro is a paid subscription, billed monthly (currently USD 7.99), every three months (currently USD 19.99) or yearly (currently USD 49.99) through Stripe. [Confirm currency, whether VAT is included, and how it's shown.]

4. Fair use

Some features have daily limits so the service stays affordable for everyone (for example, the number of "Talk back" uses or word look-ups per day). Don't try to get around limits, scrape the service, or use it to build a competing product.

5. The content

6. For publishers and rights holders

If you believe content on FrenchBriefs uses your work in a way you haven't allowed, write to hello@frenchbriefs.com with a link to the content. We'll review it and, where appropriate, remove it promptly, usually within [2 business days]. Publishers can also ask us to stop using their feed or images.

7. Liability

[Limitation of liability, adapted to Swiss law and EU consumer law, to be drafted by a lawyer.]

8. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in the app. We may suspend accounts that break these terms, after warning you where reasonable.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For significant changes, we'll tell you in the app at least 30 days before they apply.

10. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Swiss law. Courts at [Geneva] have jurisdiction, without depriving consumers of the protection of the mandatory laws and courts of their country of residence.
